Heavy traffic expected at RIH construction site
NEWS — Visitors to Royal Inland Hospital are likely to encounter heavier traffic from now through the summer months, says the Interior Health Authority.
The IHA says that as construction activity increases for the new Clinical Services Building so will traffic on the road that runs around the hospital.
While there will be no changes to vehicle access, motorists may encounter delays as construction vehicles move in and out of the job site via the hospital’s loop road.
The IHA advises drivers to use extreme caution and to slow down for pedestrians at all times.
Pedestrian access at Third Avenue and Columbia Street will be unchanged.
