Police, coroner trying to identify skeletal remains

NEWS/ POLICE — The Kamloops Serious Crime Unit and rural RCMP are working with the B.C. Coroner Service in identifying the skeletal remains located in a remote area southeast of Kamloops on Sunday.

RCMP cruiserThe initial investigation did not turn up anything suspicious at the scene, so the focus now will be on identifying the body, Cpl. Cheryl bush said today (Tuesday).

“Once identity is known and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance are looked into, it will be determined if further investigation required.”
