NEWS — A vehicle accident near Exit 369 on Trans Canada Highway 1 caused the closure of eastbound lanes this morning (Sunday). A semi and a small car were in a collision just off the Peterson Creek bridge, causing fuel to spill.

Kamloops RCMP and Kamloops Fire Rescue responded and crews were mopping up the spilled fuel. Traffic was sent down Summit Drive through Kamloops temporarily but traffic began flowing slowly across Peterson Creek Bridge in one of the eastbound lanes again later in the morning.

Mel, I have just returned fro church in Valleyview and they still have one of the Eastbound lanes blocked. Traffic is still backed up and moving slow! Just thought you’d like to know!
