Local rep chosen vice chair of B.C. chamber

NEWS/ BUSINESS — Former Kamloops Chamber of Commerce president Brant Hasanen has been elected as vice chair of the board of directors for the B.C. Chamber of Commerce.

The one-year term leads to chair of the organization for the 2015-2016 term.

“Brant has served our board in Kamloops since 2003 and continues to support the chamber movement both locally and provincially with his insight, experience and passion for policy development,” said Kamloops chamber president Aleece Laird.

B.C. chamber president and CE John Winter said Hasanen’s expertise on board governance and government policy is invaluable.

Hasanen said he’s looking forward to his new role.
