NEWS — The evacuation alert for the Upper Clearwater has been lifted as of 11 a.m. today (Wednesday).

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District issued the alert last night due to a risk of flooding at Second Creek Canyon at Clearwater Valley Road, and resulting danger to life and health.

That risk has now passed, says the TNRD Emergency Operations Centre.
