Motorcyclist killed in collision identified

NEWS — The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Barriere on the weekend.

He is Kurtis James Genier, aged 34, of Barriere.

Genier was the operator of a southbound motorcycle involved in a collision with a northbound vehicle on Highway 5 about 10 km south of Barriere at about 8 a.m. May 24.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
