Excavator ruptures natural gas line

NEWS —A broken natural gas like caused some tense moments on a Kamloops Street Friday night.

FortisThe main line on the 8900 block of Grizzly Crescent near the B.C. wildlife Park was accidentally ruptured by an excavator, bringing Kamloops Fire and Rescue and RCMP to the scene shortly after 9 p.m.

Nearby homes were alerted and power was shut off to the area as a precaution. Fortis B.C. quickly repaired the gas line.
