SPORTS — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack soccer program is hoping to continue a tradition which has been going for six years now.

TRU was the first University in Canada to include youth teams walking onto their field for the introductions and national anthem, playing at half time and then meeting their players following their matches.

The Pack are looking teams for to continue that as they move into the CIS and Canada West in the Fall of 2014.
TRU will host matches at Hillside Stadium on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13, Friday, Sept. 19 and Sept. 20h and will close out their home schedule Frida, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11.

Again this year, Gyldi’s Pizza will sponsor pizza and beverages for the participating KYSA teams.

The WolfPack will be looking for a pair of girls squads and two boys teams for each of their home matches. If you are a coach of a boys or girls team in the U-5 to U-11 age groups and want to participate, contact TRU sports information officer Larry Read at lread@tru.ca.
