Midnight robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart

RCMPUPDATE — Kamloops RCMP said this afternoon (Friday) they have made an arrest in connection with the robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart late Thursday. A 33-year-old man has been taken into custody as the investigation continues. Police said they will be looking at any evidence that might link the suspect with other recent robberies.

NEWS/ POLICE — A man used an unusual weapon to rob the Shoppers Drug Mart on Summit Drive just before midnight last night.

RCMP say the man entered the store with an aerosol can and demanded cash from an employee but they say it’s not known what the can contained as it was not deployed. The man left the store with electronics, and nobody was injured during the incident.

The robber is described as being about 6 ft. tall with thin, brown hair with a receding hairline and had his face covered by a bandana.

Kamloops RCMP are asking the public to call (250) 828-3000 if they have any information or call crime stoppers to remain anonymous.
