NEWS/ COMMUNITY — The 39th annual Kamloops Walk for Peace, Social Justice and the Environment will take to the streets tomorrow, Saturday.

As always, the walk will launch from the Stuart Wood elementary school grounds, preceded by speeches from a number of guests on the theme of social justice and international peace.

The event will warm up at 10 a.m. with music, food, children’s activities, sign making, information tables and a non-motorized float competition.

The floats will be judged and prizes will be awarded to the best floats in each category. The entries can use bicycles, wagons, carts trolleys or skate. Floats should be on the peace theme.

The walk starts between noon and 12:30.
