Horgan acclaimed leader of B.C. NDP

NEWS/ POLITICS — John Horgan was acclaimed the new Leader of the B.C. NDP and Opposition Leader today.

“Today New Democrats are uniting behind John Horgan’s strong leadership,” said party president Craig Keating. “John is a leader who understands that B.C. needs a balanced approach to everything we do – ensuring that communities benefit as our province moves forward.”

Horgan was first elected to the Legislature in 2005. He officially succeeds Adrian Dix as leader as of Sunday.
