Arbor Day celebrations at Fortune and Leigh
NEWS/ COMMUNITY — It’s Arbour Day on Friday, and members of Kamloops City council will be on hand to officially bless the occasion at the corner of Fortune Drive and Leigh Street where crews have been doing some landscaping work over the past couple of weeks.
Arthur Hatton elementary school students will be there, as well, planting the flower beds prepared by Pronto Enterprises with plans provided by Lyons Landscaping. There will be some speeches at 10 a.m.
Funds raised at the A&W Charities Plus golf tournament go towards the project.
