Meat shop clerks robbed by man with knife
NEWS/ POLICE — Two female clerks were robbed by a man with a knife at the M&M Meat shot at 12-3 Summit Drive about 6 last night.
No one was injured in the robbery but the thief got away with an undetermined amount of money. The offender left the store, discarded items used in the commission of the crime including clothing and the knife, and fled the area on foot. Kamloops RCMP established containment of the area and used the services of a police dog team, but the thief wasn’t located.
The suspect is described as a young adult man, slim, Caucasian, who wore a blue hooded winter coat, a blue and white bandanna, and baggy blue jeans. The blue jacket was recovered by police in the vicinity of the M&M Meat Shop.
Anyone with information about this crime or the offender is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 828-3000 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
Why does it say robbed at gunpoint in the headline yet the story indicates a knife was used? Seems similar M.O. to the last recent robberies.
