Investigation of human remains continues

NEWS/ POLICE — RCMP continue to investigate a scene on Mission Flats where human remains were discovered Tuesday.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush said today a B.C. Coroners Service specialist from Vancouver is aiding in the investigation but it could be several weeks before the identity of the person is determined.

“Once we further examine the scene with the Coroners Service we’ll be in a better position to comment,” she said. “It’s too early to determine if foul play is suspected.”

The remains were found at the west end of Mission Flats Road.
