Police seek help finding 83-year-old man

UPDATE — Police report at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday that the missing man has been found.

NEWS — Kamloops RCMP are asking the public’s assistance in locating an 83-year-old man who suffers from dementia. The man left his residence in the Howe Road area of Aberdeen earlier this morning (Tuesday) and hasn’t been seen since.

Screen Shot 2014-01-28 at 2.58.52 PMThe male is described as Caucasian, 5 ft.. 8 inches tall, with silver hair and has a very slim build. He was last seen wearing a jacket that is army color green, blue pants and blue shoes. He wears a dementia/wandering bracelet for identification.

Kamloops RCMP are utilizing the police helicopter, police dog and have requested the assistance of search and rescue in the efforts to locate the man.
