Ticket prices reduced for Roots2Rock night

ARTS/ ENTERTAINMENT — There’s still time to get tickets to the big rock-culture concert at the Barber Centre on April 5 and here’s the good news — ticket prices have been reduced.

Crossbow.

Crossbow.

Organizers tell The Armchair Mayor News that tickets for Roots2Rock: Music in the Round are now $40 regular and $30 for students and TRU alumni.

They include wine, beer and food sponsored by Terra Restaurant, and there’s a silent auction “with really attractive items” besides.

It starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5 in the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Centre.

Featured performers are Crossbow (Celtic duo Christina Zaenker and Neil Burnett), the Serious Options Choir, and the Infectuals rock band.

Roots2Rock is designed to explore the fruition of rock from the ancient Celtic realm through African Spirituals to American gospel, bluegrass and blues.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.tru.ca/foundation or register by phone at 250-828-5264.
