Let’s stick to issues at hand on Ajax project
LETTER — Mel , I have been thinking about your comments about some comments I made on your news blog. In hindsight I may have gone beyond dealing with the merits of the arguments for and against Ajax.
In my defense I get frustrated when I feel the reporting is biased. It seems to me that it is obvious that you have a bias against the mine and I feel this interferes with your objectivity when reporting on it. I get the sense that sometimes an effort is being made to make the news as opposed to reporting on it.
I will do my best to avoid less civil rhetoric and stick to the issues at hand in the future.
Regards and good luck with your new endeavour.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Thanks, Jim. I try to make clear when I’m stating my own opinion versus when reporting. That’s why I put a “slug” at the beginning of each post indicating whether it’s “News,” “Editorial” or “Column, etc. In the case of last Saturday’s Ajax event, I wrote it in first person and put my byline on it. I hope we can continue as a community to have a respectful dialogue.
