Deadline coming up for annual Art in the Park

ARTS/ ENTERTAINMENT — The deadline is fast approaching for artists wanting to be part of Art in the Park on Canada Day.

The Kamloops Arts Council is accepting applications until Saturday, March 15.

Art in the Park is a premiere artist show and sale held in Riverside Park as part of the Canada Day celebrations each year, which see an average of 30,000 visitors during the day.

Artists may apply online, by mail or in person at the KAC office, 7 Seymour St. West in the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre.

Artists must be current members of the Kamloops Arts Council. Application forms for community arts groups and performers will be available soon, said executive director Kathy Sinclair.

Artist vendor application forms are available at www.kamloopsarts.ca.
