Famed anthropologist Jane Goodall to speak
NEWS — Internationally renowned anthropologist Jane Goodall will speak in Kamloops next month.
Goodall’s presentation, part of the TRU Student Union’s Common Voices Lecture Series, is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 24 in the Grand Hall.
Goodall will talk about her own life as well as threats facing the planet.
Tickets are free and will be available starting at 9 a.m. March 3 at the Members’ Services Desk in the TRU Students Union Building. There will be a two-ticket maximum per person.
Goodall is considered the word’s top expert on chimpanzees, which she studied extensively in Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania for more than four decades.
Her study focused on social and family lives of the chimpanzee colony there, concluding that chimps develop close social bonds with each other.
