RCMP raid Linden home in search of weapon

NEWS — Armed with a search warrant, police raided a home at 417 Linden Avenue last night but came up empty in their search for a firearm.

The RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Southeast District Emergency Response Team, surrounded the house about 8:30 Tuesday night.

Six people were removed from the home during the search, and police said some drug paraphernalia was found.

A police statement said more than 360 calls have been received about the house since 2011 about alleged drug activity, violence and suspicious activity.

Police said the address “will remain a priority.”
