Review board denies Schoenborn’s application for day passes

NEWS — The father who killed his three children in Merritt six years ago has been denied permission to apply for day parole from the Port Coquitlam Forensic Psychiatric hospital.

Both CTV and CBC reported the decision by the B.C. Review Board Wednesday night. Following the conclusion of a hearing Wednesday the board reserved its decision but released it a few hours later.

The board was told by psychiatrists Allan Schoenborn was still too great a risk to be allowed into the community.
