BCLC president Michael Graydon leaves for private sector
Michael Graydon is leaving B.C. Lottery Corp. for the private sector after six years as president and CEO.
Graydon’s resignation was announced today (Thursday). In a statement to employees, Graydon said, “BCLC makes a vital contribution to the province of British Columbia and it was a pleasure to be part of such a vibrant and dynamic organization.”
Jim Lightbody, vice president of casino and community gaming, has been named interim president and CEO effective immediately.
BCLC board chair Bud Smith said that under Graydon’s leadership BCLC increased its revenue by $235 million, at the same time significantly expanding its social responsible programs.
“He leaves BCLC as a well-run organization with an excellent management team and a committed, dedicated group of employees,” said Smith.
Graydon joined BCLC March 31, 2008.
Lightbody has been with BCLC for 13 years. He previously worked for 25 years at Procter & Gamble, Nabob Foods and B.C. Hot House.
