Police seek witnesses to altercation involving bar patron

NEWS — RCMP were looking for help Tuesday (today) in finding out how a woman got hurt.

Screen Shot 2014-01-28 at 2.58.52 PMA 41-year-old woman reported she left a Victoria Street bar about 1:30 a.m. Saturday to walk home, but thinks she may have been chased and knocked to the ground between 3rd Avenue and First Avenue.

A passerby gave her a ride home.

“The female has very limited recollection of the events of the evening,” said Cpl. Cheryl Bush in a news release.

Police are asking the good Samaritan or anyone else who witnessed an altercation in that area to contact them at 250-828-3000.
