POLICE – Stolen vehicle recovered, weapons seized, three arrested

An investigation into a stolen vehicle led to the arrest of a man for possession of stolen property and driving while prohibited.

On Jan. 16, 2021, members of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit were patrolling the area of Greenstone Drive when they came across a vehicle reported as stolen.

With the assistance of the Targeted Enforcement Unit, officers were able to keep an eye on the vehicle until its occupants were on foot and it was safe to arrest them.

A man and two women were arrested. While searching one of the women, police located and seized a taser, bb gun, and knife.

Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and driving while prohibited. He remains in custody with a next court appearance scheduled for Jan. 28.
