TNRD – Regional district board hires new chief administrative officer

The TNRD has a new chief administrative officer.
The board of directors appointed Scott Hildebrand to the job Thursday (July 16, 2020), succeeding Sukh Gill.
Hildebrand has been CAO for the City of Merritt for the past year and a half and also spent six years as CAO in Brandon, MB. He also spent 14 years with Frito Lay Canada (PepsiCo) and four years with McKenzie Seeds/ Jiffy Canada.
He has lived in Canada for the past four years.
“There will be challenges, but together I feel that we can build on the district’s success to date, and positively shape the future of the Thompson-Nicola region.”
Former City of Kamloops CAO Randy Diehl has been filling in as interim CAO for the regional district for the past several months.
I would be interested in hearing what he thinks of the TNRD Board voting that the public pay for each member to have two free (to him) alcohol drinks at organized functions Where in the world does this happen, other than at the Regional District.
