EDITORIAL – Donald Trump’s second term as president kicks in today
An editorial by Mel Rothenburger.
THE AMERICAN BULLY is let off the impeachment hook today, the day after he spent an hour and a half bragging about himself in the annual State of the Union speech.
And, as has become our habit, Canadians watched that speech, on CBC, CTV, even CPAC. We’re so caught up in the train wreck of American politics we can’t stay away.
Miraculously, Donald Trump stuck to his script and resisted the temptation to wander into the impeachment mess. Instead, he wisely stuck to talking about the economy, healthcare and terrorism.

She made a great gesture by tearing up the bogus speech of the inconsiderate narcissist. He can boast of the economic performance of the nation where the rich get richer and the poor stay poor…and the downtrodden believe him…to cringe in utter disbelief!
Mr. Trump is an individual who has a personality which almost defies reason.
In the last 30 or so years, people have risen to power and those interested in eschatology have questioned, “Is this person or that person the antichrist?” It seems that is happening with this person named Donald Trump.
Who knows?
