POLICE – RCMP investigate body found in alley behind Carson Crescent

A person whose body was found in an alley running behind 170 Carson Crescent died by criminal means, Kamloops RCMP said today (Nov. 29, 2019).

Police were called to the area of Carson Crescent about 10 a.m. for a report of suspicious circumstances. Patrol members spoke with several witnesses and conducted an initial investigation. This led to the discovery of human remains, RCMP said.

Kamloops Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is seeking the assistance of the public in advancing the case.

“We are at the very early stages of this investigation. We do know this is a criminal matter and not someone who simply died from exposure,” said S/Sgt Pillay, RCMP Kamloops plainclothes commander.

“The identity, gender, age, race are all unknown at this early stage. We expect there are witnesses out there who may be able to help us. We are asking anyone with information about who this person is to please contact Kamloops RCMP.”

If you know who this person is, know anything about the circumstances of the death or saw any suspicious activity in this area, contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
