WHAT’S UP DOWNTOWN – Don’t forget about free weekend parking

WITH OUR “Fulton & Company LLP Welcome Winter Block Party” wrapped up and our Stuff Your Stockings contest still going strong, now is the perfect time for a few winter reminders and thank-you’s before the New Years extravaganza.

CAP Team member Jon George.

First off, we at Downtown Kamloops would like to thank everyone who showed us support at the “Fulton & Company LLP Welcome Winter Block Party.”

This includes all the hard work put in by: Brewloops, Kamloops Kia Motors, the volunteers, and our title sponsor, Fulton & Company LLP (who signed up as the title sponsors for three years!). Everyone from these organizations have been a major help and we look forward to collaborating with our friends in the future.

With the holiday season and end of the year around the corner, we want to extend our thanks to everyone who has been a part of our events, programs and over all downtown experience. We would like to thank our CAP Team Sponsors, and Downtown Kamloops sponsors for their dedication to downtown.

The holiday isn’t quite over yet in Downtown Kamloops. The Stuff your Stockings Campaign is going strong until Dec. 21, when we will draw a winner for $1,000 in Downtown Kamloops gift certificates. You can enter a ballot at participating businesses and find a full list at

Lastly don’t forget, that the City of Kamloops is offering you the gift of free parking this holiday season.  Come downtown on Saturdays (and Sundays) and enjoy free ON STREET parking.

When you find yourself downtown after the holiday season and are looking for somewhere free to park on the weekends, remember that the Lansdowne and Seymour Street Parkades are free on weekends.
